How much does a website cost in Perth in 2026?

A fixed-scope site here is $495, $1,495, or $1,995 AUD once-off. The number depends on pages and whether you sell products, not on an open-ended agency quote.

Updated 4 October 2026

Website design cost in Perth in 2026, on this site, is one of three once-off packages: Starter $495, Business $1,495, or Online Store $1,995 (AUD). This guide is for Perth startups, tradies, and small businesses comparing a first site with DIY builders and agency quotes. It uses the prices published on our pricing page. It does not invent a market average.

The short version: a five-page brochure site is $495. A ten-page business site is $1,495. A store with a catalogue foundation is $1,995. Hosting, a Shopify subscription, and copy you have not written yet can sit outside that build fee. Scope is agreed before work starts.

Website design packages Perth

Package Price Pages Best for
Starter Site $495 Up to 5 A first professional site for a new business or tradie
Business Site $1,495 Up to 10 An established small business that needs service or location structure
Online Store $1,995 Store setup A retailer ready for Shopify or a similar platform

Each price is a fixed package, charged once, in Australian dollars. The full inclusions table lives on website design packages.

What the build fee includes

Every package includes the same foundations:

  • Mobile-first design
  • SEO baked into the build: titles, meta descriptions, sitemap, and schema
  • A contact or enquiry path, set up and tested
  • Three months of free maintenance after launch
  • Launch support and a handover
  • Scope agreed before anyone starts designing

Starter adds up to five pages and launch support for a first site. Business adds room for up to ten pages, a service or location structure, a conversion-focused layout, and a CMS training session. Online Store adds ecommerce platform setup, a product catalogue foundation, payments and shipping basics, a mobile shopping experience, and a launch checklist.

What sits outside the package

The build fee is not a retainer, and it is not every bill you will ever pay to be online.

  • Open-ended brand workshops, unlimited revision rounds, and custom software are not included.
  • Copy written from scratch is not included unless it is agreed in the package.
  • Ongoing marketing or SEO after the three free months is separate. Foundations ship with the site. A retainer is optional.
  • WordPress itself is free software. Hosting is a separate cost. If you need it arranged, that is website hosting.
  • Shopify’s own subscription and transaction fees are separate from the $1,995 build. Current plan prices are on Shopify’s pricing page, not in our package.

If a quote you have seen is far below $495, check whether it is a template subscription, a single landing page, or a price that grows once revisions start. If it is far above $1,995 for a simple brochure site, you are often paying for agency process rather than extra pages.

DIY, a fixed package, or an agency

A DIY builder can be the right call when you have time, a simple offer, and you are happy to maintain the site yourself. It gets expensive in hours when the layout fights you, the contact form is unreliable, or the site never gets finished.

An agency quote suits a brand that wants workshops, many stakeholders, and custom work. Most Perth tradies and small businesses do not need that process to get a credible site live.

A fixed package is the middle. You pick Starter, Business, or Online Store, you know the page count, and the work stays inside that scope. The service behind those packages is website design.

What moves the price

Four things change which package fits. None of them are a surprise line item after you have approved a design.

  1. Page count. Five pages is Starter. Closer to ten, with a proper service structure, is Business.
  2. Selling products. A brochure site does not need Online Store. A catalogue, checkout, and shipping does.
  3. Catalogue size. A small product set fits the Online Store foundation. A large migration or a custom theme is quoted separately, in writing, before it starts.
  4. Content you do not have yet. Missing photos and service descriptions slow the build. They do not change the package price unless the scope changes.

How long that work takes, once the package is chosen, is covered in how long a small business website takes.

If you are choosing between WordPress and Shopify, the platform does not replace the package. It decides whether you are buying a brochure site or a store. See WordPress vs Shopify for Perth small businesses.

Next step

Compare the three tiers on pricing, then tell us the package and what the site needs to do. If the job sits between tiers, say so. We will quote a fixed scope, or tell you if a package is the wrong fit.
